Beulah YFC Club Report 2009 - 2010

This past year has seen Beulah YFC reach the grand old age of 60 and we celebrated in style with a dinner at the Greyhound, with members past and present coming together to celebrate the occasion.

Next we threw ourselves into the outdoor games where we had good fun and entered many of the competitions. Then it was time to prepare for the rally, including tug of war practice on the green (much good that did us!) Sign painting, scrapbooks and recycled art all ready for the big day.  Beulah  did well coming 2nd in the Dunohw Cup which was a improvement. Over the summer we held a fun sports and BBQ with Libanus and the sun shone long enough for rounder's, hotdogs, tag rugby and hammer the nail, we're still not sure who won!!!

Later in August we went fund raising by car parking at the Mewla Rally, thanks to Epynt Motor club for offering us this opportunity to raise valuable funds. The Club also went Litter picking around Llanwrtyd Wells for Keep Wales Tidy Week which was quite a messy afternoon.

Not much of a rest before the Club AGM where Officer Elections were held. All new club officers  attended the county's officer's night at Llangorse Rope Centre.

Since then we've held a quiz, takeaway night and DVD night as well as slides on Norway by Matthew Price which we found interesting. We entered competitions including Stock judging, Brainstrust, the Pub quiz, Have-a-go competition and lamb trimming. At Field day we had two 3rd  places which was pleasing, at Competitions day new members took part.

At the Drama Festival we entered 2 One plus's and had good fun.

As a club we nominated Mr Tom Evans for the post of County Deputy President, a role he has taken on and we wish him all the best.

We have recently won the Vera Jones Bursary for the purchase of new equipment including a camera, so look out at the rally and SMILE!!! The club also had a member taking part in Junior Member of the Year.

The pop idol is next for a few brave members, then time to decide who will be doing what at the rally.

A year has past and we've had fun, now to the rally and perhaps 1stin the Dunohw Cup!

So see you at the rally everyone.
