Erwood YFC Club Report 2009 - 2010

Time to report has arrived again,

Happenings in Erwood - now we pen,

In April our dancers were light on their feet,

Winning Ballroom and Folk they kept to the beat.

 Blackpool to support Llandovery's pantomime,

Ballroom dancing, second was just fine,

At the Rally in June, despite inclement weather,

Erwood winning - couldn't be better!

At the Royal Welsh Show, we did our best,

Craft, and Dame and Dog were put to the test,

Our Club Promotion Team took first place,

And our Dancers put on a splendid showcase.

Music on the Meadow was successful and fun,

Raising £3808 for charities, a tremendous sum,

Bingos and Whist Drives we organised too,

Our Charity Concerts & Fashion Show were excellent dos.

September the start of the New Year,

County officials Samuel, Sian and Lucy, Vice Chair,

Second in Brainstrust and Junior Quiz,

Our Senior Quiz team they were a whizz.

To National Competitions Day went members galore,

Speaking team and Samuel receiving top score,

Community fireworks with kith and kin,

Rain ensured we were soaked to the skin.

Welly Week, a great success,

£120 for RABI, they were impressed,

At Field Day we had lots of luck,

In ATV Vicky and Leon winning the Cup.

Competitions Day we had lots of fame,

Cooking third, and winning Generation Game,

At the Winter Fair Leon's enterprise, a dream,

In the Prime Lamb Producer we had five teams.

Wales Community Projects in which we took part,

Showed YFC members have giant hearts,

Club trips to Cardiff and Quackers - always a hit,

Again we lost Wendy in the ball pit.

The Ice skating trip with County soon came,

Staying upright was our main aim,

To the County Carol Service to rejoice,

Carol singing raised £220, we were in good voice.

After lots of practises came Drama Week,

Well done all members, they really did peak,

Sam, Vicky and Samuel had ‘Best Acting' awards,

Second in Junior, Senior Dramas and One Plus we scored.

Our trip to London was lots of fun,

The club curry night had us on the run,

Indoor games we were under stress,

Winning Volley Ball and Uni Hoc we aimed for the net.

Samuel second in Junior Member of the Year,

Now its time for the Rally site to prepare,

Good-bye from us, its time to end,

With grateful thanks to Club Leaders, Parents and Friends.
