Llandefalle YFC Club Report 2009 - 2010
Llandefalle has had a year to boast,
Excelling as the County's Rally host.
A challenge we couldn't wait to accept,
And as Rally Chairman Sharon soon leapt!
We tried our best, but it was all last minute,
But a Rally done otherwise-who'd want to be in it?
First in Mime to Music and Stars in Their Eyes,
And for Milo and Chris's puppets-well done guys!
Celebrations at the Dance, we were out to pull!
Gethin came close, but turned out she was a bull!
Hangovers and all, the next day we cleaned up,
And the BBQ stopped anyone being fed up!
Come Autumn, new competitions, new members - big job!
And our young Club can be an unruly mob!
But it was amazing to see all entrants excel,
In Animal Health, and Dairy, Beef, Lamb Judging as well!
Top members were Alex, Josh, Christie, Helen,
And Jonnie and Charlie-they know what they're selling!
We proved that farming remains at the heart,
Of the YFC movement, as it has from the start!
Next came finding a Reading and Speaking team,
Our junior members didn't seem too keen!
Yet to county level four participants progressed!
Joined by two senior debaters - who'd have guessed?
Activities for Halloween and Bonfire were great!
But Christmas is the holiday we really rate.
Our Carol Service and Singing raised charity money,
And our Christmas concert proved really funny.
Then a New Year upon us, the Drama in store!
January was practise, and practises more!
Mark and the boys with their awesome One Plus,
How they did it, no one could suss!
And Harry's singing was another first,
After being second for two years, she was fit to burst!
A Junior and a Senior Play came third.
Of stage fright our new members were surely cured.
After all the excitement, what's next we thought?
A trip to the Rugby was desperately sought!
Scarlets V. Blues an ideal match we're thinking
Ready for Torquay all the boys will be drinking!
In Club, with all our meetings, games, trips, quizzes,
Bowling, cinema, cookery - time just whizzes!
76 years of Llandefalle have past-no lie!
Sometimes I look around us and wonder why?
Its because young people deserve a chance,
They work really hard and want to advance.
YFC makes us all who we are...
"Heres to the future, and Llandefalle so far!!!"
