Troedrhiwdalar YFC Club Report 2009 - 2010
A year to remember, and lots to tell,
About our club, that's doing quite well.
Our tale starts in April with Pop Idol and Dances,
No medals or glory but plenty of chances.
In May Games we finished on top,
In our Dinner at the Lion, we celebrated non-stop.
Soon it was June and Rally preparations began,
For Cooking and Shearing we hatched a plan.
At the rally at Glangwye on that very wet day,
We finished 4th overall and at the dance we did play.
In July at the Prince we remembered with cheer,
Winning Under 18's and Sports Cups this year.
A break in the summer for the Royal Welsh Show,
On trips to Tenby and Tregarron Races we did go.
The new club year started in September,
Where we elected new officers and welcomed new members.
Brainstrust in September was the first competition,
Coming first overall set us onto a mission.
With the year underway fun in club was had by all,
With manicures and pizza nights we had a ball.
In October Stock Judging, Pub Quiz and Have-A-Go,
Good results all round, we put on quite a show.
Next stop Field Day, Exhibits and Speaking,
First overall, we went home shrieking.
With Club Promotion we came First this year,
Now off to the Royal Welsh, come along and cheer.
In November on a pouring Bonfire night,
We had hotdogs and fireworks both enjoyed with delight.
On Friday the 13th the stadium we were in,
To watch Wales and Samoa, Oh what a win.
Next was Competitions Day in Brecon High School Hall,
Second in club display and cooking and fourth overall.
Carol Singing was cancelled - too much snow for Sue and Paul,
So we rounded off 2009 with a Quiz Night in the hall.
A party for New Years, we started with a BANG,
Then off to Winter Wonderland with the Troedrhiwdalar gang.
At the Drama Festival in February we acted and sang.
Fourth, Fourth and Seventh, of acting we got the hang.
We ruled the indoor games winning bowling and football,
Aled won Junior Member again, well done one and all.
Best wishes to our members, past and future too,
On engagements, marriages, babies and qualifications new.
Another YFC year has passed and as my tale ends,
A big thank you to members, leaders, parents and friends.
Gemma Davies
(Troedrhiwdalar Chairman)
