Ballroom & Latin Dancing
Members of Brecknock YFC have been taking to the dance floor these past weeks preparing for the recent Ballroom & Latin Dancing competition. The event was held at the Guild Hall, Brecon along with the Junior Pop Idol Competition.
Teams of 4 members were asked to dance one Ballroom dance of their choice and one Latin dance of their choice. Marks were awarded for choreography, technical, costumes and over all presentation. The successfully winning club was Erwood YFC with Vicky-Lynn Healey and Leon Morris performing the Ballroom dance and Samuel Powell and Niamh Morris performing the Latin Dance.
The evening also saw a wealth of talent in the junior pop Idol competition with a total of 12 members participating. The standard was extremely high as members performed a song of their choice. Christina Rogers from Sennybridge YFC was the successful winning of this competition.
