23rd June 2010
The place to be for all Brecknock Young Farmers' Clubs members on Saturday 5th June was Llawrllan, Crickadarn, Erwood. The glorious sunshine brought hundreds of members and supporters out for the 66th Annual Rally Day, hosted by Erwood YFC sponsored by Caleb Roberts Insurance.
The number of competitions staged was over 30, ranging from This is Your Life, Sheep Shearing, Generation Game, Woodwork, Cookery, Club Band, Capable Campers, Photography, Floral Art to Tug of War. Many competitions were eliminators to Wales and National Finals, so members will be found at the Royal Welsh Show and the Royal Show during the summer competing for the county.
Over 300 members took part from throughout Brecknockshire, with some competitions boasting an entry of over 30 teams.

Erwood YFC had an outstanding day winning the; Bibby's Cup, for highest points on Rally Day and finally the Miss Vera Jones Efficiency Shield for the Overall Winners. This was a huge achievement to accomplish on their hosting year for the Rally and celebrating 70 years.
To bring the day to a close, members returned to the rally site in the evening for a dance with Mid-Wales Roadshow and The Renditions providing the entertainment.
The Rally was a resounding success and ensured that those involved with the movement were given a day to remember for many years to come.
Brecknock YFC would like to thank the following most sincerely, without whom the event would not have been held:

- The host Club; Erwood YFC.
- All the Vice Presidents, judges, stewards, scorers, commentators, sponsors, club leaders, officers, supporters and everyone else who was involved.
