Brecknock YFC members gathered at the Royal Welsh Showground, Builth Wells on Saturday 23rd October 2010 for the Annual Field Day.
Members participated in 9 different competitions; ATV Safety & Handling Competition, Junior Nature Challenge, Decorating A Christmas Tree, Junior Cycle Safety and Handling, Fire Prevention Road Show, Fence Erecting, Public Speaking 16 years or under, Cube Exhibit and Welsh Public Speaking 26 years or under.
The day was kicked off with the ATV & Safety Handling and Junior Nature Challenge Competition. Fifteen teams participated in the Junior Nature Challenge; members were asked to follow a trail, obeying the Country code and answer questions on route. A new Competition was introduced to the Field Day this year; The Fire Prevention Road show, teams had to produce a road show suitable to promote fire safety to primary school children.
Mid morning the Christmas Tree Decorating Competition took place. All teams had worked hard to catch the judge's eye with their decorated trees.
Teams participated in the Fence Erecting competition, which was kindly sponsored by DG Jones Agri Ltd and Mr Gareth Jones. 
The day came to a close with the Welsh Public Speaking and Speaking 16 years and under.
Final proceedings of the day were the awards ceremony where the overall Elizabeth John Field Cup was presented to Erwood YFC for gaining first place with 286 points and Joint second place was awarded to Builth Wells YFC and Troedrhiwdalar YFC with 282.
