Brecknock YFC wins Wales YFC Field Day

What a weekend for Brecknock YFC

Saturday members from across the county travelled to Ruthin Livestock Market to compete in the Wales YFC Field Day, nine competitions were held with full entries from Brecknock with some outstanding individual results which lead to Brecknock YFC to winning overall. The federation have not won overall since 1998, congratulations to all involved.

Rhian Pontfaen YFC won best individual in the Senior Stockman Competition with the team coming Second overall who consist of Elin, Ffion and Libby Sennybridge YFC.

Chloe Trecastle YFC gained second place in best individual Junior Stockman Competition with the team coming 7th overall who consist of Dary Sennybridge YFC, Katie Bwlch & Crickhowell YFC and Rose Pontfaen YFC.

Charlie, Jack, Kieran and Sian members of Pontfaen YFC competed in the Farm Safety Competition and gaining 4th place.

Fencing teams were on form with both teams winning in the Junior and Senior section. Junior team consist of Ben, Gwilym and Matthew members of Llandefalle YFC and Seniors consist of Alun, Gwilym and Iestyn members of Sennybridge YFC.

Thomas Ystradfellte YFC shined in the Auctioneering box and came 1st overall.

Lewis Beulah YFC competed in the Sheepdog trials and gained 3rd place overall.

Angharad, Richard, Hannah and Sophie members of Sennybridge YFC competed in the Cube Exhibitor competition and came 4th Overall. Carys and Tom Trecastle YFC competed in the Junior Fferm Factor Competition and came 8th Overall. 

Congratulations to all the members who competed this weekend at Wales and National level, gaining individual awards but also making history for the federation.
