Stockman Day

Yesterday Brecknock YFC held their Annual Stockman Day at Brecon Livestock Market by the kind permission of McCartneys Auctioneers.

Was great to see so many members competing, especially in the junior section. The standard was outstanding right across the board so congratulations to you all.

On behalf of the Federation, we would like to tank our judges Mike Hanson, Hefin Gibbon, Jamie Jerman, Josh Christopher, Rob Lewis, Hefin Evans and Martin Trumper. Our stock providers Annie Lewis, Phil & Tracey Jones, and Daniel Weale for once again providing us with outstanding stock.

Our Stewards, timekeepers, and county officials for ensuring the day ran smoothly. Thank you to our main sponsors Hay & Brecon Framers and NFU Cymru competition day sponsors for their continued support. Finally, a big thank you must go to you the members, parents, and trainers for taking part.

Congratulations to Emily Builth Wells YFC for winning overall stockman day 16 years and under, Cerys Sennybridge YFC winning overall stockman day 18 years and under, Megan Sennybridge YFC winning overall stockman day 21 years and under and Rhian Pontfaen YFC winning overall stockman day 28 years and under. Emily Builth Wells YFC also went on to win the Caleb Roberts Trophy for the overall Junior Stockman of the year and Elin Sennybridge YFC winning the FUW Trophy for the overall Senior Stockman of the year.
