Brecknock Mock Wedding
Brecknock YFC celebrated 70 Years in style on the 21st September 2013 with their Mock Wedding.
The wedding began in the Montgomery Pavilion at 2pm, with the County’s version of a fun and way out wedding ceremony; involving two brides; Rebecca Price, Builth Wells YFC andLisa Powell, Erwood YFC and Grooms John Price, Sennybridge YFC and Ceri Davies, Bwlch & Crickhowell YFC. Past and present members witness a side splitting account of a double mock wedding! Not to mention a memorable duet from Mother of the Brides; Jayne Owen-Lowe (Llandefalle YFC past member) and Rhian Dillon (Sennybridge YFC past member).
The 200 guests enjoyed a three course meal to follow in the Old Food Hall with entertaining speeches from Best Men Mark Powell, Llandefalle YFC and Paul Marcheselli, Bwlch & Crickhowell YFC and Farther of the Brides;TomEvans (County President & past Beulah YFC) and Mervyn Prosser (Sennybridge YFC past member). Guests viewed photographic displays of past YFC events and YFC weddings. The celebrations went on into the early hours with additional guests attending and dancing to “The Celtic Roadshow”.
