Brecknock YFC Delivers Show-Stopping Week of Entertainment at Theatr Brycheiniog
Brecknock Young Farmersβ Club lit up the stage at Theatr Brycheiniog this week, with more than 300 members performing, competing and celebrating an unforgettable festival of Entertainment and One Plus competitions. The annual event once again showcased the remarkable creativity, confidence and camaraderie that define Young Farmers across the county.
π Entertainment 2026 Champions Crowned
Taking the top spot in the 2026 Entertainment competition was My Generation, written and directed by Samuel Powell and performed by Erwood YFC. The dynamic production captivated both judges and audiences, earning widespread praise for its energy, originality and polished performances.

Megan Powell β Best Actress Under 28 (One Plus Competition)
Both Samuel and Megan are in their final year of Young Farmers, making their achievements a fitting finale to their membership.

Best Actress Under 18 β Anest Jones (Sennybridge YFC)
In a landmark moment for the competition, Sennybridge YFC presented the first-ever Welsh-language Entertainment production, earning the award for Best Choreography for their outstanding performance.
π€ Senior One Plus β Double Success for Sennybridge
The Senior One Plus competition showcased exceptional variety and talent. Sennybridge YFC triumphed with The Traitors, while also securing second place with All Creatures Great and Small. Trecastle YFC completed the podium with a superb duet performance, earning third place.

With 13 entries in the Junior One Plus competition, the standard was exceptionally high. Sennybridge YFC once again dominated, claiming both first and second place. Troedrhiwdalar YFC impressed with their creative and thought-provoking performance about the Epynt Ranges, securing third place.

π± New Award Introduced
This year marked the introduction of the Andrew Bufton Memorial Award, honouring a new member who has joined since September 2024 and demonstrated outstanding enthusiasm while fully embracing the Young Farmers experience. From a strong shortlist of nominees, the inaugural award was presented to Sian Thomas Davies of Beulah YFC.
The week proved to be a true celebration of creativity, dedication and community spirit. From powerful productions to individual accolades, Brecknock YFC once again demonstrated the extraordinary talent and commitment of its young members.
